As we celebrate Black History Month, let us never forget who we are — our roots, our resilience, and what we stand for. Stand firm in your Blackness, for it is your power. Never allow anyone to dim your light.
You are brilliant. You are beautiful. You are bold.
Celebrate who you are.
What It Means to Be Black
“To be Black is to be beautiful — to be grateful for the way God intentionally chose to create me, and to honor the generations who endured, survived, and sacrificed so that I could stand here today. To be Black is to steward what God has entrusted to me — our culture, our history, and our faith — knowing I represent not only myself, but those before me, beside me, and those still to come,” says Malachi Burden.
